Bike rack carrier towbar thing
Not really a bike issue, but has anyone got one of those bike rack efforts that bolt to your towbar that I could borrow for a day?
I'm thinking of buying one, but I'm not sure if it would carry the old yellow tank.
I have a nosewieght of 85kg on the car, & I know the dr is a bit over that ( cough ) so if anyone would be kind enough to lend me one so I can see if the car front wheels stay on the ground with the bike on I would be most grateful.

Cheers skip, your a star!
No I haven't got your number, just pm'd you mine, so if you can either txt me or pm yours through that would be great.
Any time over the weekend or monday, I could pop down & borrow it would be fine. I'm off to ireland for the rest of next week so if it suits you better, could try it next weekend.
Muchos gracias, as they say in Clonmel!

Re: Bike rack carrier towbar thing
i got one, found it to be a fecking nightmare if it's the same thing i'm thinking of
(not trying to piss on your parade)
pain in the arse getting the bike on and off, strapping it on was a pain watched the bike disappear in the rear view mirror once
invested in a trailer in the end made life alot easy especially after a day of falling off
deans gotta a brilliant fold up trailer,
might be an option

Can't go with a trailer, don't have anywhere to keep it when it's not in use.
For the amount of time I will need to transport the bike, this could be the best option

If you use a bike rack get ready for the dents and the fucked suspension. Deans trailer folds away to the same size. He puts it in the boot of his Ford Fiesta...
Fuckin orrible fings those bike racks... Ucking ate em...

It is good mind
Yeah I looked at those bike racks initially and then realised I'd have to lift the old XR onto it - Not exactly easy. You'll have the same problem with the DRZ unless you find picking it up easy !!!
