Monday 5th December...Carnage......

Started off from mine with Stu, a foreigner to Gods own country, welcomed never the less..and Stu...the Kato did well fella. The two of us rode up to Highcross and met up with Dicky, Paddy and Sheepshagger, two became the fab five...onwards and up past Risca Comp up onto Twm to meet up with the Ebbw Possy, Hopes Dad joined us, now six, nice drz fella

with no sign of the Ebbw Possy we decided to head their way and hopefully meet up, halfway to the Gas Station and the fab four were in sight.
Tidy...10 of us...on a Monday, today was tech day, Fforest bogs, river crossings, bogs, some nice steep hills dropping down, what feels like from top to bottom of the mountain.
Stu on his new toy, and look....no smoke....

A quick stop to count heads and we're off again

down and into the river bed with some nice bogs...I think Sheppy caught me stuck in the first one !!!

Moved on up to 4 stroke valley




Then dropped down through the fforest




Out of 4 stroke moved over to Mynydd Maen, but first...not all of us got over the hump




So time for a quick breather


Then on to The Skip's Axe Hill.....Carnage............

Tonto struggling, but Hopes Dad is to the rescue with some muscle...

Amazingly all 10 of us make it to the top, Sheepshagger taking the expert of the day medal, showing us all how to do it in one hit....awesome fella
dropped back down onto the Scalextric, not one in focus !!! doh !!!





Then onto Death Hill





Dropped off for some fuel, then back up to Twm..while 9 of us decided to go left and right Tonto...
well...the pictures say it all.......




After 1/2 an hour and extracting a plug The Kato breathed back into life..by this time the cold had set in and the light was fading, all headed off home after a cracking days riding, some new faces (Stu and Hopes Dad) keep an eye out fellas, join in the next one....

Good day as ever, some technical stuff and some new faces....blinding laugh, good gang..cheers lads....

Thanks for a cracking day, the pics don't really do the ride justice, I'm sure that Skips Axe Hill was vertical! It's got to be renames Shaggers hill after Si cleaned it

It was good to put some faces to the names, can't wait to get out on the next one.

Cracking ride Skip, mixed bag with some technical stuff, hill climbs, steep downhills and some woods/bogs thrown in for good measure. Good on Tank for getting Tonto going again. Really good ride out with some new faces too. Look forward to the next one.
