JD Jetting kit
Can anyone tell me where I can get one of these to fit a KTM 300 EXC 2010. Have found numerous sites that have every other model's kit, but alas not this one. Any advice appreciated.

they are a tad heavy on juice, but check the jetting first befor buying a jd jet kit!! you can get them to run tidy quite easy with the right jets, what settings do you have in the carb?

Shepy spoke to someone on KTM forum who says rejetting will get 3 times the amount of miles out of a full tank, so will do that on weekend. Also sussed out how to fix my electric start for under a tenner

Shit! sorry miller when ryan had a go of your bike he said there's somthing wrong with that, it's choked up & had to rev the hell out of it to go.
Forgot till reading this, maybe worth picking up standerd jets and changing them for what they cost. It's a while since a had a 300 but mine used to have 3 spring settings in the power valve somone may have changed that to.

Re: JD Jetting kit
Miller, I got the Gasgas 300, mine does around 70-80 miles to the tank (just over 9ltr tank) Ive been told that the JD jetting kits are more for the American markets i.e. different temperatures altitudes. was advised to avoid them. (a) what size tank you got, I know the sx has a smaller tank, I got a spare enduro tank for a ktm 2 stroke (2006ish) in my attic, think its about 11ltrs..but would have to check to be 100%. (b) what size sprockets are you running, did you try and change the front, I noticed a difference going from a 13 to 14 tooth. I run 14/48.. worthwhile checking your jets as others have mentioned just to be sure they are stock. and as Wolfy mentioned I know there are different springs for the powervalve, they are colour coded, not sure what colors though!!..not sure how that would effect your mpg tho, unless its spinning into the powerband early..

Also, forget comparing too much with 4 strokes, I ride with a guy with a wr450 2 trac, if i use £6 he will use about £4.50!! but then he also got a rxv twin which drinks it even more than mine!!!
