New cam chain installed, gaskets,a bit of fettling inside the rocker box ( slight contact with exhaust valve spring ) and a coat of black paint on the magneto cover jobs a good 'un.[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Or is it ? Kicked some life into the old gal, fired up nicely, still rattling like a bag of nails. Bastard, £70 for parts, £45 quid for chain rivetting kit and flywheel puller and still like the old rattler I have learned to love. Nothing for it clutch casing has to come off, well bless me what did I find, main crankshaft / primary gear ally nut doing its own thing up and down the thread creating backlash on all the crankshaft and clutch housing, luckily no damage what so ever as the nut is left handed thread and could'nt go anywhere. So a thorough cleaning of nut and shaft thread some loctite and a torque wrench, new gasket and of course a coat of black paint on the casing. Cost less than a tenner. Moral of this little episode is you should always know your left hand from your right hand. By the way she now runs quieter than Old Slow Hand Tilts' 400 now.
