More mild than wild camping!
Firstly apologies for the way only a link to the pic's has come out, and if anyone can tell me how to change it please do, as after endless pissing about with the pile of crap that is Photobucket have given up with it
Last weekend Phil and Richie came up itching to try out their newly acquired bikes and kit for a bit of a mini adventure in wild Wales, and Ray came along for a spin followed by an enjoyable evening in the pub with a beer and a steak next to the luxury campsite
Obviously someone was going to be out of luck...........
Ready for the off, and looking good

But the bikes suddenly looked and felt a lot bigger on the lanes!

So did the obvious thing and found some harder ones, that knocked one of Phil's wardrobes panniers off!!

So went back to more flowing stuff and a bit of a pose

After all you don't need much if you plan on eating an a pub, and even sleeping in it if it look a bit wet.......

But when it started to go a bit dark, and with rain threatening the decision was made to just stop where we were, and it happened to be half way along the Kerry Ridgeway and doss there - without a pub in sight, which didn't so down that well with some

But the carpenter in Phil meant a table/store cupboard was soon knocked up out of a pile of fly tipped crap
https://i.imgur.com/GgVTyC4.jpg
And the middle aged bloke in Ray meant the old sock and sandal combo had to be done
https://i.imgur.com/PxwMHc3.jpg
After some Stella, a steak and a big fire everyone was happier though

After a peaceful, uninterrupted night's sleep we all woke up to a fantastic sunrise and a bright sunny morning - or maybe not!
We won't mention the snoring, the red neck invasion, the insomniac up annoying every one at 5.00 AM or the rain then

But after bacon, eggs, mushroom and beans (cooked in a tin mug ) things soon looked better

Until Claerwen, where it started to piss down again!
And the camera battery went flat

Cheers all
Fantastic fun (even the unplanned bit's) but very glad to kip in my own pit the next night

Re: More mild than wild camping!
The mighty DRZ was king on the more tricky lanes, but luggage carrying not so good!
The lack of even a mug for a cuppa, and worse still lack of arse paper in the morning proved that!
Favourite quote - I didn't bring a gas canister, but if I had I'd have brought two just in case one ran out
