Am sticking these pic's up to try and convert the haters that push biking doesn't have to involve Lycra, doing mental downhill stuff or even a posh bike that costs more than a car!
Also not a bad way to spend a few hours, and maybe even keep a cake loving old fart alive for a bit longer yet  cheers

From a free car park in Rhayader, there's a well surfaced 20 mile track all the way up to the top dam and back, with some cracking views along the way

Only downside was some (not all) of the walkers still hate you when they see you on a clearly marked cycle trail!

Two old biddys knew I was behind them, and deliberately shuffled along side by side blocking the path, so being a polite type waited until it widened to pass
As I went by one said 'haven't you got a bell on that thing'
So being a bit pissed off with always being in the wrong with people like this stopped, walked back and said  'no, I took it off as it ringing it seemed the equivalent of shouting OUT THE FUCKING WAY, I'M COMING THROUGH - but it's what I'll be doing next time I see you!

Then rode off hoping not to get a puncture for a while, and wondering what Wolfy would of made of the little chat, as it might have reminded him of the one we had with some Ramblers in a pub once lol!

It tell me how far, how fast, average speed and how much height gained - and  a constant source of disappointment lol!

i know exactly what you mean about the old farts in the way just to awkward, we were riding the tiverton to taunton canal and an old biddy wouldn't move dispite my m8 ringing his bell a few times to be told in no uncertain times. " up your ass" Very Happy
the woman in question was over 80...... unreal, i nearly fell off i was laughing that much.
