Road burn to Machynlleth

Post by crm250dude on Wed Apr 12, 2017 8:16 pm

Im going for a road burn from Merfa to maklynek (thats how I say em) with the missus

weathers nice - stop for a spot of lunch ... probably go to barmouth on the way home.. may even stay the night?

Rather than just burn it all the way on the A470 - any suggestions on a route..

I was thinking - llandovery / lampeter / aberystwith ..??

Merthyr, Crai, Sennybridge, over the ranges to Beulah, mountain road to Tregaron on to Devils Bridge then over Nant-y-Moch to the sea-side at Borth and back would be a good start and a fair 'ol day out cheers

You'd pass through Pontrhydfendigaid if you went that way, and would really  like to be there if you had to ask a local for directions lol!

You're idea of Llandovery,  Lampeter but then out to the coast and New Quay for lunch (watch out for the evil bastard seagulls!)
Up to Aberystwyth, then home via Devils Bridge, Cwmystwyth and around the Elan Valley would be cracking too

Have a great day whatever cheers
