Shocker hit the nail on the head with the Elan Vally loop perfect on a nice day Very Happy
I guess its because it holds good memories for us - the Skirrid Inn (most haunted pub in Wales) is our favourite pub ever

and Llanthony Abbey is magnificent (they also have a boozer in the cellar)

Suppose we should have asked what bike you were using?

What's shit on a big bike, can be good fun on something smaller - and the other way around Very Happy

Even if Mrs Brown fits in the big boys rucksack that road is not flowing on a road bike, tis a lovely valley tho! the humps, dirt on the road & bumps without the sharp corners (with very few passing place's) make you feel like your in a stage rally on a trail bike Very Happy

Anyone recommend anywhere to stop or to avoid.
Really liked Barmouth so will stop there and have a nose around and a coffee After doing the bridge.
Heard St David's is meant to be nice too.
