Fork seals

Whats the best way to check fork seals guys...

rub your hands up and down the forks , then go inside and wipe them on your missus' best blouse , then hold it up to show her . If you don't hear a slapping sound , chances are your seals are fine .

I got a fork doctor if you want to borrow it - cleans the seals if you got dirt causing a leak

Are they leaking ? every time i wash me bike now i use a rag to clean the bottom forks behind the guard.
Looks clean with a wash but the shit dries hard & then sticks in your fork seals.

Not much to the fork seals so they won't take much abuse.
Don't know if there the same as hydraulic Rams which leave a very fine layer of oil to assist the lubrication and stops the dirt sticking.

Amazingly im still on my original seals Watch em pop next time im out
But if they ant leaking they ant broken

Ypu can pop the outer seal "covers" off to reveal the actual seals and clean the crud out under them
