I had a go on a 660 Tenere Yam when they were new, didn't impress me tbh very viby engine.
Suppose you're better of deciding what your going to use the bike for first then look at bikes.

I got a F650 gs Dakar - its the bollox ... bullet proof - no actually bomb proof - comfortable ride .. chugs along the motorway at 80 happily - can get to 90/100 if you want to thrash it

but equally when you hit the urban stuff you can keep up with the pizza delivery boys bobbing and weaving through the traffic (which you cant on the 1200 gs's)

borrow it for a bit if you want (when petes finished with it)

If I was to be looking road bike now and had a bit more money - i would probably get the newer f800 gs
