2 stroke or 4 stroke

Im looking at getting another bike. Cant make my mind up on what to get. Ive had ktm 300 06model and a beta 300 15model and loved the power on both bikes. This time im thinking of a 4 stroke, ive seen ktms 2016 models 250 xcf and 450 xc and also a sherco 300 four stroke. How will these bikes compare to my 2 stroke 300cc and will i mis the power of the smokers. Any suggestions and pros and cons pls. Thanks

Better top speed, balanced power, and feel more planted, but smokers always make me smile when I ride em!

You seemed at home on the beta trex when I was out with you before..... seems a no brainer to me..... but go orange id say ....... smokers all the way

Only thing puts me off a orange 2 stroke is the shitty electric starts. Had some gd times on tha beta and never mist a beat.

The 17s are different they're more like the beta setup, only reason I say orange is the small fuel tank on the beta but you know the score on that

Dont i just. Carrying 2 littres in back pack incase we went out for 2 long without fuelling up. But was a cracking bike

I've had a couple of 300 exc smokers & loved them, after growing up on Castrol R & stuff like that it's hard to think about riding anything else:
But giving that I've just bought a 2017 350f exc, I just had a 4 stroke itch that needed scratching I think, It took me a few outing to know the bike, gears, positions...etc...etc & to adjust to the different way you ride.

The 2017 350f What a bike I will say, makes fuel as it goes along, climbs hills no problems, plenty of user friendly on tap power, 2kg lighter than my 2016 300 2 stroke (mot scales).
It's a cracking bike to say the least & love riding it & although I've only had it a few weeks & been out nearly every day, I cant say that I'm fully 4 stroke hooked and I don't think I ever will & to stay faithful & loyal I even put a drop of 2t oil in the fuel cell

2 stroke= strimmer chainsaws and lawn mowers
4 stroke= you,r a man with hair on your bollox
