Upgraded headlight bulbs?

Anyone use any LED bulbs or anything similar for riding in the dark in the OEM headlights? Got caught out late last weekend and had to come back via some back roads only to find out the headlight on my new husky is shit! Couldn't see anything in front of me at all. I've found an LED bulb upgrade but it's 89 dollars which seems a bit steep for a bulb and holder! I do have an external led light off my old bike but I'm reluctant to put it on the new bike just yet, it's still too new don't wanna go drilling holes in it and tapping into wiring just yet!

I bought a RING 55/100w rally white light H4 off ebay , brilliant !! but with winter coming & wolfy rides that drill & wire splicing wont be long.

That bulb was to go in a ktm right ??

I put a aftermarket halogen bulb in mine and it melted the bulb holder to the bulb. Only found out when the time came to change it

Yes, but its been in 3 bikes & no problems at all, no melting switches, wires, holders or anything else.
