200 exc piston change
time for a new piston and rings on my 200.
looking in the manual it shows 2 pistons 1 and 2. whih one would i need to use and also would i need to hange the piston pin at the same time or can i use the old one?

See if i can help clarify things for you...
Depends on how many hours the barrels done and its current bore measurement/wear.
"Generally" pistons are a B type when fitted from new which gives tight and best tolerances, they do also come in A,C,D SIZES which are incrimments of thousanths...
Looks like Ktm supply size 1 "B Size "2" D
Someone maybe able to confirm this Ktm system?
Should get pin with piston kit but more important change the small end bearing about a tenner bud.

only a guess bud ,but good advice there off walnut,would,ve thought your bike is still on standard piston and rings,their that good nowadays...i think ,ktm dealer,..standard

Thanks for that Pwoiks confirmed what I thought...
Hope the orange reps [Jon and Wege] are taking note vertex are ok but they used to use Mahle and were £150-£180 a shot but the best!!
Just change more regular and be ok, look forward to getting out with you soon.
