Spark plug & cap
So ....my 05 KTM 450 exc - RFS engine (otherwise known as GaGa) is bogging out when throttling sometimes at low revs sometimes at high and sometimes she even cuts out on idle
this sort of behavior would normally happen when she's cold or with the choke on - or after a little swim with Wolfy
We cleaned out the carb and checked the jet and all seems fine and clean and working normal in there
I'm convinced aftger a bit of googling and reading on the KTM forum its down to the plug or the plug cap
my question is - what plug and cap is the best to buy ?
An NGK DCPR8E spark plug seems to be the one on AMS's website
and a..
Spark Plug Cap VD05EG NGK
unless any of you wise folk can suggest anything a bit better - maybe more waterproof / bog proof / dude proof
I quite like them bling ones where you can see the spark - I know sheep is with me on that one

You just need to clean out the foo foo valve and rev it more! you're not reving it enough.

Re: Spark plug & cap
it maybe a bit of a stupid question - but in my CRM ive had a few different spark plugs and some work better than others ...
the one recommended by AMS is £2 on ebay .. and the cap is only £10 ??
surely not this is a KTM - its got to cost me at least £100 to fix

Re: Spark plug & cap
Plug cap is most common at fault on the the rfs engine mine would last about 50 hrs and then it would miss fire and cut out at low revs I use the genuine Ngk ktm ones but others use the red flexible type like found on the mx bikes but there a pain to fit and certain spark plugs the nipple doesn't unscrew off so they don't fit the red ones
