Welsh 2 Day 2016
A few of us done the W2D this year and what an amazing event! The whole atmosphere from start to finish was incredible, loads of like minded people just out for a good time!
Myself, Wolfy and Joss went up on the Tuesday with Ray, Ian, Jeff, Jason P, Jason H, Ady turning up on Wednesday and then Stu turning up at about half 5, leaving him half hour to get his bike into parc ferme then worrying about his front tyre and trying to get it back
Chris Berry and Dean were riding too but staying in the Metropole so didn't get any pics of them
I didn't get many pics of the going as it was relentless, like a trail ride on steroids! and I think maybe the 525 was a bit much of a handful around the tight wooded sections but an animal in the open!
Was nice to see Cricket and Kirky cheering us on at the tests too
All loaded and ready to rock! Cheers Mel for the loan of the camper too
Start of camp SWTR
Special test at Rhayader, that drop off on the right was nuts! You couldn't see over the edge til you were about 6ft away! It went proper against the grain to ride over it flat out
Joss's caravan of love and his bike having a lie down
Wolfy enjoying his steak and macaroni cheese which looked to have made the cat angry
Beautiful red sky on the dusk before the dawn of the first day
Wolfy wondering what bits to cut off to get to racing weight
Joss looking happy
Nearly ready to say goodbye to the bikes!
That's it! She's gone! til morning at least
This is my next bike
Lunch
Even Nessi came down from Scotland for the event
Some of Team SWTR
2wd ktm! £12,000 and she's yours
2 hours in, nearly there!
Joss with his groceries
This is where it all begins and ends
The first check, these guys were on my minute, cheers James, Jim and Colin
Lost me airbox cover on the road and when I went back for it some twat had run over it and smashed it to bits so I improvised
Wolfy crossing the line on the first day
And I thought the 525 was a handful off road
Joss's food for the week
Camp SWTR
The bag is holding up well
And done! Bag held up, forks stayed put, nothing else broke and I'm still in one piece! RESULT,
Stu on the church farm test, proper slippy!
Wolfy
Jason
Ian had a great idea to keep the bbq's off the ground and out of the rain
Then realised his food was in the van and the side door was locked
Took some getting going them charcoal ones
Relaxing with beer, curry and bread
Jeff just resting his eyes
Wolfy looking a bit worse for wear
Cheers guys for an awesome week! Amazing event and great company!

Re: Welsh 2 Day 2016
I got back yesterday, emptied the van, washed the bike then took Helena out for a Chinese! Don't know where I got the energy from! Must have been all those energy drinks and foods kicking in
I got to say the camping with the guys really made the week too! Didn't stop laughing at the campsite!
