I shock I had one like yours,sometimes I'd kick it in to life and it would run backwards, twat to start.

Had that on a beta trails, turned out the ignition was too far advanced, and would fire before the piston hit TDC sending it back in reverse, kickstart nealy took my foot off when it fired ><

Electronic ignition and Mikuni carb ordered - all that talk of shooting backwards with a kickstart stuck out of my leg has scared me into spending money

Wow that Datsun's a 2 door! Rare has hens teeth that.
Anyway so.... New carb new ignition what you going to do about the weight of the thing? Bearing in mind the last one you looked at you thought was bolted to the floor
