Wiring a fan
got myself a gas gas tx250 trials bike off Jimbo the other day as a non runner. stripped the carb, new plug, fresh fuel and a big old kick and she fired up
went out for a little play yesterday for a few hours to give the trials a a bash and had a bloody awesome time plodding about, getting up little banks and over barrels. really enjoyed myself. can see why people say get a trials bike to bring your enduro riding on as its so much easier to control and to learn the basics
Anyway after I while she started to get hot and the fan wasnt coming in. The wiring is a total mess as someone has been there before and cut and chopped the wiring. There is no wiring going to the thermostat so that'll explain why it didn't come on.
What is the best way for me to wire the fan up to a switch or be permanently on? bike does not have a battery so am I right in thinking ill have to take a live from the magneto? not very clued on with electrics or how these rectifier's and other gadgets work so a bit of advice would be appreciated as always.

She's a 98, out on it again tonight and can't get over how much fun you can have going slow
I've found a wiring diagram and had a bash this morning but still no joy so think the fan has given up. Even put it directly onto a battery and no joy so fan has gotta be knackered

I know I love it! I'm planning on doing a few easy trials this year but then again I said that last year too
Now the nights are drawing out a couple of us go to a farm near Abergavenny on a Thursday night, it's a right laugh up there and all for just £5
Does sound like the fan is junk!
They a bit pricey!
