Trail Ride in Central France .
Nipped over the puddle and went for a French three dayer last week . Really good not to have to see a single gate for the whole time too . We booked up with this outfit http://www.trailridefrance.net/. Check out the website as it will save me the boring details . Day 1 consisted mainly by a fairly normal trail ride but with some optional challenges .
and that was the first days riding . The chap on the left is the guide , top bloke called Steve and the guy to the right just had an unlucky tumble 100 meters from the B and B . Very unlucky with a sore knee .
Day 2 . Mainly forest riding with more optional challenges .
By the end of day two we had lost the poor guy that fell off on day one as he was going a tad over his comfort zone and hit a tree . Ouch . He is OK but at the time he looked quite bad and so did his bike hence no pictures , others took them but I don't take things lightly when something looks serious . We also lost a Berg due to battery failure but that got sorted ready for the next day . All was not lost there as not only did the problem got fixed , the Berg bloke went out and sourced lots of lovely local produce (wine and beer) for us lot . A very productive arternoon we thought .
Day three . Mainly lowland single track enduro style trails .
A small hiccup to start but no problems after .
Oh , I nearly forget to mention the lunch stops that consisted of up to four courses of fine dining at really reasonable prices served by really friendly people .
Come to think of it , everyone we met was happy and waving to us . A real breath of fresh air for folks to wave at us from their gardens .
That's it for now . Awesome little bike holiday that everyone should try . Steve can and will adjust the riding to the level of the group as he always wants everyone to have the best time possible . Hope you enjoyed the pic's folks . Until the next ride .................

Looks like u had a better time than me last time in France. Didn't do a single lane that I couldn't have driven my van down.....

Great stuff, was loads of trails around the in-laws place in Brittany, bikes out every Sunday there, I was amazed how much more tolerant the locals where to it compared to over here.

Rouan looks hilly and forest a'plenty . Soooooon . Always easier with a guide though and that's why we went on this one . It's telling you something when there are original photo's of Knighter and the factory KTM team at the time enjoying the hospitality of the owners of the B and B hanging in the purpose built drying/changing room there . The owner and his son also compete in extreme enduro and are pretty good at it (son was national champ) . The forestry around Gueret is the nuts as there are trails everywhere and open to all . I just wished I had five days there . Never mind , I'm back on it now and I'm doing a Barmouth run in a couple of weeks starting from Dolgellau if anyone fancies it .mizzed wrote:Great stuff, was loads of trails around the in-laws place in Brittany, bikes out every Sunday there, I was amazed how much more tolerant the locals where to it compared to over here.
