Wheel spacers
Genuine or upgraded?
Been having a few issues with premature bearing failure so just trying to do what I can to prolong their life a bit!
My spacers are a bit worn so probably letting crap in
Rob mentioned when my front bearings went AGAIN on my last ride that his have been in for ages like 80 hours! Mine last about 3 rides and that's it
I did find an article on the Ktm forum about a guy that was doing a modified spacer with a stainless sleeve which was much harder wearing than the original but he's no longer selling them
Steve was going to ask his mate how much to machine some but that never materialised
All bollox do an upgrade set with the sleeve but a)uses different bearings and b) it's all balls so is bound to be shite!

Re: Wheel spacers
I've got the stainless sleeved allballs rear ones, and they are lasting better. My skf's are starting to wear out more quickly now, so going to replace the entire lot as Ryan recommended with a full original set for 40quid.

Re: Wheel spacers
If yours are wearing out fast, seems best to change the lot, which also means the center spacer too.
