Re: Welsh 2 Day 2016
There are loads of people better qualified to answer than me, but can give a good idea of what it cost a first timer
Entry about £165
Fuel + Jock to take it to 3 places along the route (will also feed and water you) about 25 +45 quid and good value
FIM tyres £100 ish
Mousses £200 - but you've probably already got them, and I'm still using mine so £0 really
ACU licence £40ish (day one for bugger all)
B&B £50 a night - or bugger all if you can cope with kipping in a van, between two 140 mile trail rides - and i obviously wasn't 'ard enough for that shit!
Minimum of 3 days off work?
You'll probably chuck a few quid at a good service and replacing sprockets, chain, pads etc
Plus the usual cash for 'beer and skittles'
It does all add up a bit, but one of the best things I've ever done and beats the shit of a week in the sun
The atmosphere of being part of 500 riders riding out of Llandrindod, around some of the best countryside anywhere, and more importantly getting back again in one piece made it worth every penny for me
To be honest I think I got lucky as it didn't rain which would have changed everything,
But anyone who says 'it's a piece of piss mate' either hasn't done it, is a very good rider, in the wrong class or fibbing

Look out for the short fat bloke on No. 77 about 8 min's in to know why losing 2 stone might be a good idea before trying again

Bloody good - like a cracking 140 mile trail ride, but with three MX tracks thrown in on the way around to keep you on your toes
Then you do it all again in reverse the next day!
