Klim enduro kit Empty Klim enduro kit

Post by jams Sat Nov 21, 2015 1:12 am

So as most of you know, I recently moved to the tropics. It's bloody, bloody hot here, relentlessly hot. So I had a look at suitable kit for riding here. Came across klim mojave pro kit and it looked good so got some from Fc moto.de. About the same price as a US import, but no import taxes and cheaper postage. I had it sent to Mizzed who received it about two days after I placed the order. He kindly shipped it to me. What sold me was hearing that the mesh make up of the kit allows so much air to pass through it kind of feels like you're not wearing anything!

Unfortunately my wr is still on a bloody ship, delayed till December so I can't report on how it performed on the trail. However it appears to be exceptionally well made kit (it ought to be for the price) and even at walking pace around the house truly does feel like you are not wearing anything. You can feel air passing through all the panels just as I had hoped. It comes with minor padding the shoulders and arms, enough that I do not feel the need to wear shoulder Armour anymore. But will retain elbow pads. Pics and a ride report to follow. The kit (pro top and in the boot trousers) came in at about £170. So nit to bad for climate specific kit. Probably worth it for a hot uk summer kit as well.

Are you trying to wind us poor buggers up!? Very Happy

It's suddenly gone cold here, and getting colder by the minute!
The Klim thermals range would be of more interest to us - especially by the time we're stuck on a mountain side tomorrow What a Face

Difference between 68quid and 13quid shipping, mod gets subsidised shipping, and lots of countries don't ship to Brunei.

Also the postage system here is a joke. Hit or miss as to whether you ever see your stuff. So the military has its own system that delivers to the barracks only. But the parcel has to originate in the uk, to get into the mod BFPO system.

Shoulder pads won't stop a broken clavicle, i had thought of ditching them before but kept them for soft tissue protection. The mojave pro Jersey provides this on its own.
