Sprocket and oil seal are fine, brand new spring washer and the sprocket clamps the oil seal in fine, its just a bid mad how much movement there still is. but it doesnt leak at all.

As an aside the vibration when i was trying to track it was definalty from the front of the engine and not the back, so the woodruff key does look promising.

Update, new woodruff key fitted, took all the play out of the primary gear, rebuilt the primary and clutch gear, tested and 75% of the rattle gone.

Went around with a rubber mallet and found a slightly loose engine mount, bike now 100% again.

You are far too technical for my liking , but glad you finally fixed it by giving it a whack .

Also took the lowering kits off and made it a big boys bike

Glad another Ktm lives on! I couldn't believe how quiet mine was on the next few rides out. I was always on edge waiting for another rattle Smile

When he swapped out my rekluse - i got him a bottle of whiskey (half decent single malt).... but the other night i got to see his whiskey stash affraid
- it puts Johnny Walker to shame ...

And thanks Curl - advice most appreciated, i got to say I too was waiting for it to kick back in on the way home....
kicking down the gears as hard and as high revs as possible ....

but its smooth like a waxed back sack and crack !!!
