    eBay/gumtree addict finds stolen bike...

Post by curl666 on Thu Sep 03, 2015 8:45 pm

My constant eBay and gumtree trawling paid off this week.

There's been an advert on eBay about 3 bikes stolen from Cwmbran area for many months, stolen in January.

Whilst I was sat in work on a night shift Sunday, I was on gumtree and spotted a Ktm 250 in Birmingham. I knew I recognised it and thankfully the post about the bikes being stolen was still online, I checked the pics, exact same bike.

I text the bikes owner at 4am Smile but after being rudely awoken he was over the moon that id found it and the matter was handed over the police cheers

Nice, how long they reckon it will take for him to get the bike back?

He said he would keep me updated.

I kept an eye on the gumtree advert, I think the current seller had bought it unaware. As he was asking top wack for it with out a logbook or plate. There was even a photo of him sitting on the bike smiling to the camera, handy for the police Smile

The advert was briefly updated with new photos of the bike, as there was just one pic when I first seen it. Then it was deleted off gumtree.
