Re: New to the forum
To be honest , a 125 off road will be plenty to give you some thrills , and like shukes said , it'll be battered about off road , so you don't want to be stuck with finance on something that could get smashed up . Start cheap , then if you like it you can trade up . No point blowing all your wad with nothing left for those inevitable repairs and spares you'll be needing . Mind you , I see you an pick up a new wk125 thingy for about £1500 , and you get a 2 year warranty . Won't be a wheelie machine , but it'll get you started , and be nicer to ride on the road than a shagged out ktm that's on it's last legs .

You can tinker with these, once you've done your cbt , if for any reason you don't find it poky enough, which would be surprising, try different sprocket set ups and if that fails you can invest in some big bore kits, etc etc

Re: New to the forum
Welcome!
I agree with the others, buy a cheap but tidy first bike. I've been riding enduros for a few years now, never spent more than £2k on an off road. Had a few ktm's but you can't beat a Wrf250 in your budget.
I picked up a 2009 ally frame wr250f for £1900
But if you want to get out riding quickly, I've ridden two 125's enduros suprisingly nippy and will go anywhere

Wait until you're on your ass down a lane - or swimming in a muddy bog.... only to look up and see cameras in your face

Spotted that on gumtree in the week. Not too far away either. For the money it seems a good bike! But i haven't read up on what they are like in terms of reliability and off road ability
