Hi all,

I'm currently based in the Tredegar area and am looking to get a bike sorted soon, and am looking for a club to join and get involved with laning again.

Used to have a discovery and have done most lanes in south and mid Wales, still have most of them tracked out on Memory Map.

Once I get the bike, would be nice to meet up with any of you, either joining in on rides or leading them.

Hi Steve,

For all its faults and maintenance needs, I have my mind set on a KTM 450 EXC. Can see me having it for a while and trading in for a WRF450 long term, but gotta own a KTM at some point!

Hi Mizz , welcome . Ive had a 350 EXCF for a few years now and shes just the ticket in my mind . Never had a WR , so don't have any nostalgic pangs for old heavy bikes :16:

How do you find the oil changes and valve clearance routines on yours? looking at them its the same as the 450.

Love the cowsuit btw!

Oil changes 10 min job ( buy the oil filters in a 10 pack work out about £4 ) i do em every 20 odd hours ( did it last week ,was actually 32 hours ). Had the valves checked only once on my last 350 in over 200 hrs , and they weren't even out then . Change the little fuel filter in the petrol tap joiner every now and again (40-50 hours or when bike starts stalling ) Unless I felt something was going wrong inside the engine i tend to leave it alone !! I reckon you can double the KTM schedules when you are only trail riding . The 450 definitely has more punch than the 350 , but its more than enough for me .
P.S Its obligatory that on your first ride out with SWTR that you come dressed as some kind of animal . I never asked why , but Steve insists .

Well most of you do act like animals so I thought is fitting, Although monkey costumes would have you all better. Maybe a Gorilla for denzil.
