WTRA Beacons Rally August 15th 16th

Anyone done this before ? Thinking of doing it on the 690 , hopefully by August I won't get too upset if she gets scratched . looks like a perfect event for big bikes and a bit of fun . Camping and pub quiz too .

I was looking at that last night and thinking the same thing - got my BMW650 ....

Steve has a Honda 650 too

we could enter a team - "Team SWTR" - i'll get a logo and some leather waistcoats made up

and its about as much good off road as a Harley!

Not done that one, but have done the Cambrian Rally and can't imagine it's very different?

It did look like the KTM 690 's were the perfect bike for the job, as there were a lot of fire road miles that stressed my low geared 250 a bit  
But the thought of doing Strada the 6 time's we had to do it made me glad i wasn't on a big or expensive trail bike!

120 quid entry fee seemed a bit steep considering you could ride most of it for free on a different day though!

Thats what i thought too - £120 !!!
maybe we should do a "big bike" ride out this summer

Yeah , good point , we could do our own version with a bit of camping , and 1 hour in some quarry falling off .

I want to do a camping trip and see some of this
