To new tube or not new tube ? Empty To new tube or not new tube ?

Post by Oojufink Sat Apr 11, 2015 8:04 pm

Puncture in my front tyre this morning. I got the tube out and put a bicycle patch over the puncture hole from a thorn. Checked the inside of the tyre and there is not a thorn left in the tyre, put it back on and it's holding air now......but.....should I just go get a new tube to put in it just to be sure?
I was thinking of putting some of that puncture goo in the innertubes to help prevent this happening again. What do you think?

Ive used that goo stuff in the past and from what I could tell it done the job.
Of course you never know if you've had a puncture or not, But one day the tyre when flat instantly.
It was like if the goo had given up and all the puncture's I,d collected over the past few months let go the same time Laughing

I'd say mend it properly, stick a new tube in and then carry the repaired one to put in next time you're unlucky enough to have a punture

I'd leave it in til you change the tyre but make sure you got one in your bag incase it does go pop on the trail!

Is that £150 for both front and back?
