Bike wash stuff?
Any tip's as to what bike cleaning products/liquids - the sort you run through the jet washer - are any good these days??
There's all sorts of either expensive or weird shit on ebay that might either be useless or eat your bike - and didn't want either so wondered what everyone else was using
Ta

I use tfr, it was 20 litres for £20 and is amazing stuff, brings the bike up like new! Got it in a spray bottle and just coat the bike, leave it a minute then wash it off, job done! Don't leave it on too long mind
Gone up a bit since i bought it but its this stuff [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Re: Bike wash stuff?
Used this stuff for years it don't damage your bike, but like jt said think you got to make sure its all washed off.
I wash down the bike first with water, then spray all over leave 5min then wash again cleans up good

Then leave to dry......light spray of this stuff being careful not to spray on disc's hand grips & seat, looks like your spraying your bike with milk to start but leave it a hour or two shines up nice

Thats the stuff , dont buy any from B&Q type places , all watered down shit you could probably drink . When all dry and lubed , spray on some white Rhino Shine onto all the plastics and even engine ( about £10 a bottle ). Leave to dry overnight , then a light buff the next day . dont need much and it will transform the bike .( ah - see Wolfy got in there before me ! )

Re: Bike wash stuff?
I use Muc Off but it's expensive over time for the spray cleaner and then the protector (which smells suspiciously like wd40).
Good results and a well cared for bike but looking to change.
I'm scared of using TFR for the reasons mentioned above.

if you use TFR make sure its non costic, i used Rhino Goo for a few years but its costs an arm and a leg so im using non costic TFR from GMF in Bridgend its £18 for 25L and you mix it 1 part TFR to 2 parts water no problems so far, a mate of mine has used it on his bike for a couple of years and he's had no problems either.

Cheers
Used the lorry wash type stuff years ago, and badly marked the rims on a DR 350 by not rinsing it off either quickly or thoroughly enough so won't be using it again as it doesn't sound like its changed much!
Especially after coughing up for posh Talon wheels
