Husqvarna te300 2014

Recently got this bike and feel it's been jetted really rich, smokes when riding. Rode same route yesterday I used 11 litres mates ktm 300 used 9 litres. Haven't had a chance to look at carb yet. Anyone know the standard settings to try to see how it is

Got a 14 berg te 300 that was the same, try this:
N4DK NEEDLE 2nd clip from top
165main
35 idle jet
Air screw out 1.5 turns out from fully in
Quite a few here run their 300s like this made a big difference to the fuel consumption on my bike

Cheers for the info. I'll get the carb apart this week and see what is in there and get some replacement jets bought.

My 300exc is the same set up as Simon's, pretty much spot on if not bang on

Just had the carb apart:
38 pilot
172 main
Nozc needle middle position
1.5 turns out on air screw.

Thats what mine came as standard from ktm. Its was terrible. Try the set up simon mentioned as is mine now. Hell of a difference.

I will give it a go, will get the jets and needles ordered. Can't wait to try a new setup. Will update when I get it fitted and tested. Cheers
