Which ever you get make sure it has the option to change field of view from wide to medium and narrow. This is usually an option on the silver editions, or the hero 2. Medium is much better for riding than wide. if you put it on your helmet use a tether, it will snap off on a branch!

Me and Shocker both use Drift ghosts , fit on side of helmet quite snugly , quality seems pretty good , they can take some knocks , batteries last a good 2-3hrs , I bought 3 spare batteries on EBay for £12 , lasted a year and still good . Like jams says , a little bit of wire as a lanyard is a good safety measure as they're hard to find when lying in a ditch ! A 32gb sd card will capture more than a days riding and give you hours of boring footage to trawl through the next day to find the interesting 10 seconds when the bloke infront of you falls off .

Muffys drift ghost mounts much better than my go pro. If I was gonna buy again, I would get one of them.

The Drift also has a handy remote control which saves battery and card space
Whatever you buy be prepared (unlike I was!) to have to spend a fair bit of time editing and arsing about with youtube to actually produce anything though!

Then when you do, someone will always take the piss out of your music choice etc Very Happy

After days of comparing & Youtubing all types of camera's, I've decided to go with the Drift Ghost S, Pretty much ticks all boxes above all other cams, I know pro's & cons of each differ but the Drift covers everything, thanks for the advise guys, cheers.
