Sounds like a fuel issue to me - Check your jets aren't blocked

yet more what it could or could'nt be, the problem i had with the dt was after kickin the feck out of it and numerous bump start failures turned out to be float valve settings

    Rag in the air intake?

Tow it with fingers on clutch and throttle well open. If the intake and exhaust aint blocked she should clear out oil and crap from crank cases and start...

Did have a probvlem once where mice had decided to use silencer for storage. haha

usually the last thing you played with!

Skip, whip the air filter out & turn off the fuel. Warming the plug on the cooker, or if it's the same as dans, in his bike.

With it hot chuck it back in your gasser.

Spray some wd40 into the air intake & kick it, keep your hand on the kill switch, cos ether in the wd40 is thin & burns quickly, so it will rev.

If it runs on that the elect side is ok.

With it hot, turn the fuel on & try again.

If it still wont go, whip the carb off & gently blow through the jets. Dont use anything to try poking through them, any scratches they are fooked.

Otherwise give me a call I can pop down & help if you need it.

Doug did mention it maybe worth taking the crf

you got spark, fuel air.... bike should start so cant see it being the CDI

fuel might be getting to the carb isit getting to the cylinder?

put a compresion tester on the engine see what it is

worn left crank seal? sucking in air?

has the power valve jamed open? if its a gasgas it wont start with the power valve open (so im told)

Bloody spot on fella...floats were jammed cloed somehow the pin had worked loose slightly think this is what caused them to stick, stopping the fuel geting through the carb properly...

Still all loaded up and garage door closed again tonight at 10pm !!!!

Well done Skip and praise to everyone who offered advice......my XR suffered a similar fate when I first got her but that time the cylinder head was cracked. Would start up and then when she got hot the expansion of the metals would create a larger gap in the chamber f'ing evrything up.
