I've just fitted a Maxxis on the recomandations of Mrs Shepards little boy & I'm pleased with it.

It is holding up well as far as wear goes, even covering road work & a few rocky trails. It doesn't seem to grip as well as the AC 10 it replaced, but value for money & all round use it is good.

Shepy reckons they grip well even when they are worn right down, as the blocks are fairly close together, like a big aggressive trail tyre.

jonny... i have to disagree with that... i probably rate them the worst possible tyre choice. Strongly recommend never buying this tyre!

Tried the Metzler once......came to the conclusion they call it the "6 days" because that's about as long as they last. Certainly doesn't get my vote.
