Hopesy, have a look on ebay, theres an 05 ec300 for sale up Yorkshire, by motouk. its the dealers own bike, I bought my ec300 off him unseen after a few long chats, had it delivered for £99 to the door. He's advertised it at £1895, which sounds a bit steep, but (a) its been looked after (b) got some nice add ons (c) he'll take a good offer...might be worth a chat...
My lad just bought a ktm 250exc 06 six day model for 2k, its a real cracker..you'll get a decent machine for that fella.....if its up for £2300 it'll go for £2000.....money is tight these days....cash talks.....

skip think you were lucky!..... buying & paying off a pic & a chat is very risky thing with a second hand bike.

I noticed that 1 Dicky, does look nice. Hell of a trek tho, unless you've got Skippy's faith in bike dealers of course Wink

Pad, u back in the market yet fella??
Bike prices are weird...sold my 05 gasgas about 2 years ago £1700, was the same kinda condition as the ones on ebay now, and they're looking at 18>2k... think the 2 strokes seem to be holding good money.. I did get lucky with mine, twas a bit nerve wracking, but it is an 07 model registered and new out of the crate on a 10 plate, owned by the dealer and used as 2nd bike (sponsored) for an enduro rider..alegedly 20hrs and paid 2,200 quid, had no issues with it and going on the prices currently shouldnt really loose a great deal on it when it comes to selling...but yes....got lucky...

TBH Skip I think you can be lucky or unlucky wherever you get a bike from.

Been looking around, not too seriously tho as I've got my hands full with a land rover at the min.

Missed a CRF earlier this week from Caldicot. My pc blew up last week so only been online properly when in work. Spotted it on ebay yesterday am, mailed the guy but it had gone Sad .

Still fancy trying a 2 stroke tho, so maybe it's for the best.

Thats what I'm after.

The plan now is to folow Dicky's advive & drive down to corwall to have a look at the two gassers, on staurday.

Thanks to everyone for all the advice & help too
