Shepy will know - he's had enough practice to be an expert on the subject now - just don't take his advice on fuses Very Happy

Most KTM'ers seem to talk about, and then end up with more powerful batteries - and the minted one's just buy new 2 strokes instead!

Mine packed up at circa 20 hours use. The problem was different to what you're describing though. Mine whirred but wasn't engaging, which turned out to be the bendix (£65), yours just sounds dead, as if no power is going to it. A weak battery will usually do enough to at least turn it over, think yours is an electrical problem.

Short the 2 thick wires on the starter relay out with a pair of pliers..
If it turns over the relay is knackerd if not its likely the starter motor has died..
I replaced mine after 50 hours, think their made of cheese

sounds like its not earthing properly is there any turn over at all when you push the button or completely dead... if it dead its either the relay or it not earthing ...

check the wires behind the headlight... check for any splits or signs of earthing... cant be anything else than earthing or connection if theres no noise at all when you push the button
