MOUSSES
Right not a problem really just a general opinion the time has come for me to change the ice slippery mitas tyres gonna ( never liked them from the time i put them on ) have a go at the maxxis and biting the bullet and going for a mousse in the back. But what about the front????

I've got mousses front and back. Even though they are costly at first, they do give piece of mind of no punctures. There's no changing inner tubes on the side of the road and there's also no spares to carry. If affordable then it's got to be a winner.

Mogs did you say they were golden tyres mousses if so anybody tried those.
And Phil I have herad the front is very soft with a mousse in or am I picking at straws

yes shep, golden tyres!
was looking into them shep, i think they are perect for doing hare n hounds with, as your not going to get a puncture, and theres no road work. But for going over the mountains, which often involves road work i dont really see the point.. you can change a tube in about 10 mins if you do get a puncture, and its not as though youre rushed to do it as you would be in an event.
apperently theres a new type of mousse which is all small ball inner tubes or something.. ill have a look and get a link up maybe

i use a mousse on the back and 4mm heavy weight tube on the front,just one of ny little quirks,i,m a bit finnicky with a mousse on the front,can,t get on with the feeling that i got a flat front

£120 is well worth the peace of mind shep and they last a lot longer than you think.
fronts been in my bike for over 18 months and that's a no name cheapo thing

tried mitchelin mouse on front was like riding with a punctture changed to metzler fat mouses from paul green tyres awsome
